Four years ago today (November 12) Cliff auditioned in a New York pub in front of music bosses. He sang songs from his latest album "Something's goin' on" at Joe's Pub, which offers a showcase for "up-and-comers". Cliff said: "Don't think for a minute that I've abandoned my ambition to break through in the States."

Tuesday's (October 28) Radio 5 edition of "Plein 5" will feature two hours of Cliff. (14.00-16.00pm CET or 13.00-15.00pm UTC/GMT). Presenter Hijlco Span gave Cliff his Radio 5 Lifetime Achievement Award during rehearsals on the 23rd. You can also listen to Cliff's 2005 Amsterdam Carré Concert with the Metropole Orchestra. Monday, October 27th, Cliff is on Dutch TV on "Tijd voor Max" on Nederland 2 from 17.35-18.25pm CET (16.35-17.25pm UTC/GMT). Recorded last Thursday when they went to Cliff in rehearsal.
